Ramesh Nair, the CEO of Mindspace Business Parks REIT, brings over 25 years of experience in most facets of the real estate business. At Mindspace Business Parks REIT, his primary focus is on strategic decision-making, driving growth initiatives, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring operational excellence for the 32+ million square feet portfolio. Ramesh aims to further solidify Mindspace Business Parks REIT’s position in the ever-evolving real estate landscape.

Through his professional journey, Ramesh has worked across diverse asset classes such as office, land, retail, residential, warehousing, industrial, data centres and hotels advising leading domestic and multinational owners, investors, and occupiers. His core strengths include delivering exceptional results, strategic thinking, people management, and building organizational capabilities.

Ramesh’s role at the helm of Mindspace Business Parks REIT comes after significant achievements and influential leadership roles in the Indian real estate sector. As the former CEO-India and MD, Market Development, Asia at Colliers, Ramesh led a diverse team of nearly 2,500 professionals across 11 offices. During his tenure, Colliers achieved EBITDA growth of 62% in 2021 and 35% in 2022 in India.

Prior to his role at Colliers, Ramesh was the CEO and Country Head of JLL India, a Fortune 200 company, where he worked for 21 years. His exceptional leadership acumen was evident as he led a team of over 12,000 professionals, steering JLL India to the forefront in terms of market share, revenues, profitability, and team size across various geographies and business lines. Under his leadership, the firm achieved an impressive 14% CAGR in operating profits from 2017 to 2019, along with revenues of INR 4500 crores in India. He also earned the distinction of becoming one of the youngest International Directors and Country Heads at JLL, globally. Furthermore, he served as a member of the Asia Pacific Executive Board at JLL and was part of the J8 group, which comprises the eight most profitable and revenue-generating countries out of JLL’s extensive network of 80 countries worldwide.

Ramesh’s expertise extends beyond boardrooms, with notable contributions to industry organizations and academia. He served as a non-executive director on the RICS Global Regulatory Board, RICS South Asia Board, Chairman of the CII Real Estate and Infrastructure Conclave, and Advisory Council member for Telangana State, demonstrating his commitment to shaping and advancing the real estate landscape. He is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), and is on the Indian Green Building Council’s (IGBC) National Executive Board. Ramesh also serves as a Board Member of the CoreNet Global India Chapter.

Outside of his professional accomplishments, Ramesh is a true advocate of self-development and leadership. He shares his passion for knowledge by delivering guest lectures at prestigious institutions, including IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Kolkata, ISB Hyderabad, SP Jain, JBIMS, and LIBA. He loves reading books and enjoys meeting people. Ramesh is an MBA from the University of Madras and an alumnus of Harvard Business School (AMP).

Ramesh has authored a book titled ‘Doing Business in Uncertain Times’. The book offers a comprehensive guide to navigating crises, focusing on three key perspectives: business, clients, and people. The book’s fifty chapters provide actionable insights and leadership lessons, emphasizing adaptability, emotional intelligence, and holistic solutions. With relatable stories and accessible language, it caters to professionals at all levels, empowering them to emerge stronger from economic downturns.
