After 3 decades of holding many small, large and exciting leadership positions including global ones, I have learnt one thing that is ‘Larger the Constraint, Bigger is the Opportunity’.

True leadership focuses always on the ‘Greatest good of the Greatest number’ (not necessarily one in a utilitarian sense). I have truly enjoyed leading and empowering individuals and teams in both Business and Non-Business context. I have always been amazed at how far a little inspiration energizes people to feel good about themselves and in turn, to achieve much more than they thought they would ever do!

As an HR professional, though I always believed in creative potential of human beings, I never looked upon Business itself being a creative pursuit. However direct Business leadership of last decade and half has changed my perspective. Many aspects of Business management throw up unique opportunities for innovation and finding creative solutions. Whether establishing Aditya Birla Group as a strong employer brand or transforming Birla Carbon from a Regional player to a Global leader, have been platforms that created an experiential basis for overhaul of my views.

I am fortunate to work for a Global Conglomerate like the Aditya Birla Group who’s many Businesses opened up my understanding on what is possible. Each professional role, be it with a Board of Directors in an Organization or a professional body created always new insights for me to build on.
