Born and raised in Hyderabad, Diana Hayden is an actress, television host, international model, grooming expert, motivational speaker, philanthropist, former Miss World and an Author.
After winning the Miss World title Diana moved to the UK and studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and also at Drama Studio London, studying Shakespeare and theatre-based acting, where she earned a Best Actress nomination. She made her screen debut in the film version of Shakespeare’s Othello in South Africa before doing a Guest Appearance in Bollywood’s Tehzeeb and the lead in Ab Bas. Her latest film A Loving Doll is scheduled to release this year.
The History Channel approached Diana to host an exclusive three-month series, ‘Biography with Diana Hayden’ where in addition to featuring prominent world leaders, Hollywood actors and sports champions, the series also included special monthly interviews with Indian celebrity guests. This engagement marked the first time the History Channel had signed an Indian host for one of its shows. ‘Biography with Diana Hayden’ went on to be rated one of the most successful educational television programs of the year.
Compelled to leave school in the eighth standard, and having started working from the tender age of fourteen, Diana uses her own life experiences, her struggles, determination, growth and success as examples of truth and reality. Diana conducts lectures on confidence building, motivation and grooming. She has helped prepare and groom contestants of various nationalities for beauty pageants like Miss World and Miss Europe, and lectures extensively in the art of grooming.
Diana has modeled for various international brands such as L’Oreal, Colgate and Chopard and has served as a host for an array of international events, including The Laureus World Sports Awards in Barcelona, The Wisden Cricketer of the Century in London, the Miss Europe compe-tition, and the Ad Asia Awards (Asia’s most prestigious Advertising Awards). She was the Spe-cial Guest at the Red Cross Ball held in Monaco by Prince Rainier and Prince Albert and has also been a guest and Good Will Ambassador at venues ranging from the Cannes Film Festival to the White House State Dinner.
Actively involved with charities around the world, Diana is especially focused on issues affecting women and children. She has helped raise millions of dollars and build awareness for organi-zations such as Variety Club, Lifeline, CRY, Alert India, CAP, of which she is an Advisory Board member, PETA, Greenpeace and the Spastic Society of India. Committed to campaigning for Breast Cancer Awareness and HIV/AIDS education, Diana also builds globally with Habitat for Humanity International.
In June 2012 Diana released her first book, which is a comprehensive grooming guide for wom-en, titled A Beautiful Truth – The Art of Grooming for Women.
